ISEET to Replace EMCET
HYDERABAD:
Supreme Court has about to confirm that it is going to be mandatory to conduct ISEET ((Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test) In place of EMCET and other The Centre had asked states to clearly bring an explaination about their problems, if any, for replacing their own state entrance exam with ISEET (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test) -- for admissions to engineering courses in all state and central institutions/universities.They stated that this test will replace IIT-JEE, AIEEE and state entrance tests like Eamcet.
Till now there is no communication from the Centre about there issuing date to the objections cited by the state, So Eamcet may not be replaced for at least a year.
" We have not received any information from the Centre on ISEET," said P Jayaprakasa Rao, chairman, AP State Council of Higher Education. "
The government stated that they has to inform students about the test before they joined Intermediate, which means they cannot replace Eamcet for at least one more academic year as the students, who are into second year now, have already spent a year studying for Eamcet. The government said nearly half of the students in the state write Eamcet in Telugu medium while the Centre proposes to conduct the test in English and Hindi media.
However This wont continue for sure ,Supreme Court has to take every problem in to consideration and make a decision before it is too late and it wold be better for every one if this will be done after Two years .
